South 365

With our company members being “transplants” to Louisiana, a few trips to rural Mississippi inspired this collection of short plays. The production’s format is a nod to Suzan Lori-Parks’s 365DaysVS365Plays, where she wrote a play a day for a year. Downtime company members are currently writing 365 short plays, each one about learning to navigate the intricacies, eccentricities, and challenges of moving to the South as an outsider. Once completed, the best of the short plays will be compiled into one cohesive presentation. Covering everything from learning to survive Mardi Gras, learning to survive the sunroom conversations with Trump supporters, and learning to duck flying roaches and jump over rats the size of beavers, South 365 is a delightful and honest look at being an outsider in one of the most friendly, yet historically complex regions of the country.

Kunts Who Kill III

In the latest installment of the series “Kunts Who Kill” Dani and Tiffany return to enforce justice against the men who’ve wronged them. In this next episode, the ladies are students at a theatre conservatory, and exact revenge against the latest manifestation of Dani’s terrible taste in men. In this episode the ladies learn that, while betrayal and vengeance will never go away, sometimes you have to eradicate the unforgivable crime of experimental theatre.
